Ron Eisses

Technology Executive

Ron Eisses brings over 20 years of experience in the high technology industry, primarily with IBM Canada Ltd. He has held senior roles for IBM in Business Development, Sales and Marketing, and Channel Management with regional and national responsibility. He has a broad range of experience building strategic alliances with companies across North America focusing on hardware, software and services. Active in managing IBM's Venture Capital portfolio, he promoted technology from research to commercialization in emerging markets such as Digital Media and Entertainment, Wireless and Life Sciences.

Ron has been active in the technology community across Canada as both a speaker and advisory board member for many organizations. Mr. Eisses graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

John Fraissinet

John Fraissinet and Associates Inc.

John Fraissinet is an independent technology executive and sales and marketing consultant. He was formerly Chief Executive Officer of GaleForce Solutions, a venture-backed software firm in Vancouver, Canada focused on providing customer management solutions to the financial services industry. He is a technology industry veteran with more than 27 years senior management experience in highly successful companies. He has held executive positions in hardware and software firms, and established his own management consulting practice — John Fraissinet and Associates, Inc., a Canadian-based consultancy focused on assisting high-tech companies launch sales and marketing strategies for rapid revenue growth.

Prior to starting his own consulting organization, John was Crystal Decisions’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He was responsible for all channel partner relationships in the Americas, and helped drive the company’s license base from four million users to more than twelve million in his five years with the company. Before joining Crystal Decisions, Mr. Fraissinet was Vice President and General Manager of Network Computing Devices’ PC-X division in Portland, Oregon. He also held several key executive positions with Silicon Valley-based growth companies, including Borland International, Ashton-Tate, NEC Home Electronics and IBM.

John holds a marketing and business degree from the Robert O. Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico.

Randall Isaac

CEO, Bluetide Management

Randall Isaac has a strong track record of success within the Business Intelligence industry. He was a key driving force in the development of the Crystal Decisions Corporate Mid-Market Direct Sales division. During his five-year tenure on the team, Randall implemented a system that identified top talent, placed sales reps into a measured development plan, and produced some of the finest professionals in the Business Intelligence space. This division became a cornerstone for the company, consistently driving industry leading revenue growth. The Mid-Market Sales division was cited by Business Objects executive as being one of the key reasons for their acquisition of Crystal.

Randall was also responsible for implementing a similar sales system for the Crystal Decisions/Business Objects VAR channel network. With the title of NA Director of Enterprise Product Sales, Randall designed and implemented a model that leveraged the unique strengths of Mid-Market Direct and Channel sales and aligned them to a single unified revenue objective. The 'Incremental Channel Model' still stands as a pillar of revenue for the company today.

Harminder Gill

Technology Executive

Harminder Gill is a seasoned telecommunications executive with demonstrated expertise in connecting market opportunities to technology innovation to high performance operating models.

Most recently Mr. Gill held the position of Senior Director, Technology Development and Product Marketing at Bell West, Bell Canada’s Western Canadian CLEC business. As part of the executive team at Bell West, Harminder was responsible for leading the development and implementation of Bell West’s product and technology strategy. He joined Bell Canada via its acquisition of Group Telecom from 360networks in November 2004.

At 360networks, Mr. Gill held the position of Vice President, Network Architecture. As part of the executive team, he provided technology leadership for a start up telecommunications carrier through three distinct business phases: 1. International start up, 2. Rationalization to profitability, and 3. Growth through mergers and acquisitions.

Harminder has also worked in Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Telecom Regulatory. He has technical strength across a broad set of wireline and wireless telecommunications technologies.

Mr. Gill is a Professional Engineer by trade with a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of British Columbia (1990) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia (1996).

Faouzi Kossentini

Director of Compression Technology, Digital Media Networks for Scientific Atlanta

Faouzi Kossentini is presently the Director of Compression Technology for Digital Media Networks, Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco company. Prior to SA, Dr. Kossentini served as the Founder, President and CEO of UB Video, and has made UB Video a worldwide leader in H.264 video encoding technology.

Dr. Kossentini also served as an assistant professor and associate professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia, doing research in the areas of signal processing, communications and multimedia. Dr. Kossentini is a senior member of the IEEE and has co-authored more than 200 journal papers, conference papers, book chapters and popular technical white papers. He’s also led numerous international ISO and ITU-T activities involving the standardization of JBIG-2, JPEG-2000, H.263 and H.264. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta.

Andy Talbot

CEO, LightHaus Logic

Andy Talbot is a Technology Executive with an innovative leadership style and technical acumen. With public and private company experience, he has a proven track record and significant entrepreneurial success.

Andy is currently CEO of LightHaus Logic, a startup focused on advanced high performance video processing. As a Board Member and Business Advisor for UB Video, a High Definition Video Compression Software startup, Andy was instrumental in the strategy, financing, strategic alliances, customer sales and the resultant acquisition to Cisco/Scientific Atlanta in February 2006.

From April 1998 – January 2004, Andy was a member of the Executive team at Spectrum Signal Processing and the Vice President responsible for the Network Solutions Division, a startup business focused on the signal processing requirements for the convergence of Video, Voice and Data over broadband packet networks. Riding the telecommunications wave with significant growth and rapid decline, the business was ultimately sold to UT Starcom, a prominent Chinese telecommunications company. Andy was also the President of Alex Computer Systems, a company he founded in October of 1993 that was later successfully acquired by Spectrum in April of 1998.

Mr. Talbot has significant experience with advanced technologies and was actively responsible for the success of a number of startup companies - VP/General Manager Transtech Parallel Systems USA 1990 – 1993, Director of Sales Transtech Devices UK, and the founder of Tektite a specialized graphics company. Andy started his career as a Field Applications Engineer with a focus on technical sales.
