Matt Dion
VP Marketing, Elastic Path
During the past 16 years, Matt Dion was influential in the success of three innovative technology companies.
He spent 10 years at Crystal Decisions where he helped grow the company from a 60-person start-up to the fastest growing enterprise software company in the world with more than 1,600 employees and USD$300 million in revenues. Intimately involved in the partnering strategy, Matt had broad responsibility including strategic alliances, business development, public relations, analyst relations, product marketing, product management, and Vice-President of Sales. The company was ultimately acquired by Business Objects for approximately USD$1.2 billion. After this, Matt moved to Apparent Networks where he was Vice-President of Marketing and Product Management. Brought in by the CEO to help grow the company, he was instrumental in moving the company into the lucrative VoIP (Voice over IP) market and growing revenues by more than 50% year over year.
Matt was then recruited by the board of directors of Meridex Software Corp. as President and CEO to turn the company around. Matt was instrumental in transforming the company from an unprofitable IT service company to a promising early stage software company that currently offers powerful Emergency Management and Safety solutions for schools.
Having recently joined Elastic Path, it will be interesting to see what the future holds.
