Eren Ramdhani is a seasoned information security leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning financial services and large-scale transformation initiatives across South Africa, the broader African continent and the Middle East.
In his former role as a senior manager at IBM South Africa, Eren served as a strategist and evangelist to Nedbank’s Group Technology Executive Leadership team, effectively acting as IBM’s CTO for the bank. He has held regional leadership roles in IBM Security’s Digital Trust portfolio, and has advised C-level executives across the public and private sectors, including national institutions such as the South African Revenue Service and South African Reserve Bank, and other leading banks including ABSA, FNB and Standard Bank.
Recognized as a thought leader in digital fraud prevention, Eren plays a pivotal role in the adoption of advanced risk-based authentication and fraud detection solutions across major South African banks. Holding an MSc in Information Security with a focus on Generative AI, he is passionate about mentoring emerging talent and leveraging technology to combat cybercrime and financial fraud.
