Eric Byres is a globally recognized cybersecurity expert with over 30 years of experience in Operational Technology (OT) security and software supply chain risk management.
As a member of INETCO’s Board of Directors, Eric brings deep technical expertise, entrepreneurial leadership and strategic insight to support the company in protecting critical payment ecosystems worldwide from fraud and cyber-attacks.
Eric is the inventor of the Tofino Industrial Security Solution—the world’s most widely deployed OT-specific firewall—and the founder of aDolus Technology Inc., a pioneer in software supply chain risk management, which was successfully acquired by Exiger LLC. He is currently Senior Partner at ICS Secure Ltd.
Eric has advised global enterprises and government agencies, testified before the U.S. Congress on the “Security of Industrial Control Systems in National Critical Infrastructures” and co-authored major international cybersecurity standards.
He is an ISA Fellow and the recipient of numerous industry awards, including the ISA Excellence in Leadership Award.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of British Columbia and is a registered Professional Engineer.
