What is a DDoS attack?
Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) cyber-attacks use AI-driven botnets and thousands of hijacked devices to flood systems with traffic — crippling performance, blocking customers or taking you offline in seconds. They are often used as a distraction from other malicious activity like data breaches, phishing or smishing, credential stuffing or card cloning. Emerging DDoS threats are increasingly difficult to block before damage occurs — leveraging multiple attack vectors, hiding true IPs behind VPNs and lacking the “typical” signatures of DDoS attacks.
