Michael Tasooji, EVP and Chief Information Officer of Quicksilver

Michael Tasooji is the EVP and CIO of Quiksilver. He was previously EVP and CIO of Gap Inc, where he oversaw the company’s global management information systems.  Prior to Gap Inc., Michael held several CIO positions at the Walt Disney Company, including VP of IT for Disneyland Resort, CIO of the Theme Parks & Resorts segment, and Global CIO for The Walt Disney Company.  Michael also spent five years in the pharmaceutical distribution industry at Bergen Brunswig Corporation as Vice President of Application Systems. He also worked at Columbia Pictures Studio and Getty Oil Company.

In addition to the INETCO Systems Limited board, Michael also serves on the USC Marshall School of Business Corporate Advisory Board.  He holds a BS in international trade and quantitative business analysis from the University of Southern California, and an MBA in international finance and business economics from the University of Southern California.

Mercedes De Luca, Vice President, Sears Holdings Corporation

Mercedes De Luca is the Vice President, Online Fashion Business at Sears Holdings Corporation.  Mercedes is an executive with over 20 years of technology leadership experience in the high-tech industry.  She has a track record of designing, implementing and leveraging information technology in high-technology companies to achieve superior business results. Prior to becoming a Vice President of Sears Holdings Corporation, Mercedes held consecutive roles as the Global Customer Experience & CIO, then CEO, at myShape, Inc.  She also served as vice president and chief information executive at Yahoo! Inc. Prior to Yahoo!, she was vice president and chief information officer at Interwoven Inc. 

In addition to the INETCO board, she is also on the advisory board of CloudShare. Mercedes has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Keith Spencer, Partner at Fasken Martineau

Keith Spencer is a practicing partner with law firm Fasken Martineau and works in the Technology and Intellectual Property Law Practice Group. Keith’s clients range from start-up and emerging technology companies to large multi-national technology and telecom companies, and parties in outsourcing transactions. He is a member of various boards and advisory boards for a significant number of private early stage technology companies. Keith was in-house counsel to the Vancouver-based Wireless Data Group of Motorola, Inc. (formerly MDI Mobile Data International), where he had overall responsibility for its legal affairs.

Keith has lectured in the area of technology, outsourcing, e-commerce and intellectual property law at the University of British Columbia Law School and at various Continuing Legal Education and Information Technology industry conferences. He has also authored articles in the areas of computer and information technology, outsourcing, e-commerce and intellectual property law.

Maria Pacella, Vice President, Investments for GrowthWorks Capital Ltd.

Maria Pacella is a Vice President, Investments with GrowthWorks Capital Ltd., one of Canada's largest venture capital firms.  Maria has been working with early stage high tech start-ups since 2000. Maria sits on the boards of Genologics Life Sciences Software, Redlen Technologies, BuildDirect.com, and CopperLeaf Technologies. Prior to joining GrowthWorks Capital, Maria worked at a digital media firm assisting the company in operational activities and strategic initiatives. Maria also worked for Deutsche Bank Securities in mergers and acquisitions across a variety of industries including financial services and technology.

Maria has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Maria is a member of the CFA Institute and is on the Board of Directors for CFA Vancouver.
